Hi, I’m Shaylee

I’m a registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate (RTC-C) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and a Master Practioner of Clinical Counselling (MPCC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). I became a counsellor because I believe everybody deserves a space where they can be genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgement. I am passionate about mental health and helping people develop the confidence and skills to navigate both the challenges they’re facing today and those that may arise in the future.

My Approach

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. I adapt these approaches based on your individual needs.

Together, we can explore both the practical and deeper aspects of what you’re experiencing while developing skills that will help you navigate current challenges and understand the thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences that may be contributing to them.

My goal is not for you to depend on therapy forever. I want to help you develop a stronger understanding of yourself, practical skills relevant to your concerns, and the confidence to navigate challenges both now and in the future.

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Everyone deserves to feel welcome, respected, and safe in counselling. I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, genders, ages, cultures, abilities, sexual orientations, and life experiences. I recognize that each person’s experiences are shaped by their unique circumstances, identities, relationships, and communities. I strive to approach each person with openness, curiosity, and respect, and to create an environment where you can show up as your truest self.
